For the first time in Oregon, a broad coalition of public, private, community based stakeholders; exist in the form
of non-profit called CAWS . A
voluntary membership organization created by the construction industry and its peers, CAWS represents a
unique blend of businesses, trade unions, workforce organizations, educators and community
organizations. All of these groups are coming together to address a common purpose create a
diverse and well-trained labor force from local communities for the construction trades.
Having a broad spectrum of individuals, represented at one
table brings a vast value of knowledge and expertise when combining efforts for a common goal.

The membership structure of CAWS is broken down into four tiers of commitment, all with membership dues based off of annual operating costs. By supporting CAWS, you are supporting and creating fundamental industry change.

Sustaining Members:
CAWS Sustaining Members are the backbone of the construction industry. Primarily made up of Owners, Developers, Contractors, Organized Labor and Trade Unions; these founding members have voluntarily worked to set industry standards and best practices and have adopted them into thier own organizations as goals set to exceed. To become a sustaining member, an organization must adopt the CAWS Standards and implement them within thier organization.
Benefits of a Sustaining Member:
1. Eligible for a seat on the CAWS Board

CAWS Certification of Worksite (No Fee)
4. Eligible for a seat on the CAWS Industry Skills Panel

Supporting Members
CAWS Supporting Members
are a select group of Contractors, Subcontractors, Organized Labor and Trade Unions. These members support the CAWS Mission and are working towards meeting the CAWS Standard.

are Industry Suppliers and
Professional Service Providers that want to participate in and show their support for the mission of CAWS.

Affiliate Member
CAWS Affiliate Members are made up of Pre-Apprenticeship Training Programs, Industry
Training Centers, small nonprofit/non-owner, and community based organizations.
CAWS affiliate members share the interest in promoting workforce diversity and work with CAWS to spread the knowledge through out the community.
