Diversity Training - Racial Dialogues
Uniting to Understand Racism strives to raise the level of
awareness of participants concerning their unexamined racist
attitudes and encourage proactive change. To reduce racism
in our communities through study and personal examination,
we offer a six week program - offered once a week, for 90
minutes. The program includes open guided dialogue, video
presentations, selected readings and a review of newspaper
clippings and is taught by trained volunteer facilitators.
All facilitators are past course participants. You will gain
a new found understanding of the problems of race which still
exist in society. For those in the legal profession, the Uniting
to Understand Racism program qualifies for 9.5 hours of general
MCLE credit, including three hours of MCLE credit for "education
activities pertaining to the role of lawyers concerning racial
and ethnic issues..."
